Bottineau Transitway - Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority

Bottineau LRT Community Works | Planning | Economic Development

Hennepin County, in cooperation with the Cities of Minneapolis, Golden Valley, Robbinsdale, Crystal, and Brooklyn Park, and other partners including the Metropolitan Council, are participating in a planning process to examine opportunities for coordinated improvements near the Bottineau LRT stations that will enhance the quality of life for people who live, work, play, visit, and worship in the area. The preliminary vision for the Bottineau Corridor is:

The Bottineau Corridor is the premier growth corridor of northwest Hennepin County.

People, neighborhoods, and communities of the corridor are connected to one another and to living-wage jobs and important destinations throughout the region via all types of transit.

The diverse richness of existing neighborhoods and communities are celebrated, sustained, and enhanced through the renewal of buildings and businesses, and the strategic preservation of community-identified assets.

Employment centers and neighborhoods are safe, inviting places that are made up of a mix of housing, services and amenities for all ages, incomes, household types, cultures, and abilities.

Visitors are attracted to the corridor for its year-round parks, active living, authentic places, and multicultural opportunities.
