About the Project | Regional Transitway System | Timelines | Fact Sheets
There are two separate yet interrelated processes that a transitway project must go through to receive federal funding. One is the Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA’s) New Starts process for project development. The other is environmental review as required by the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The following timelines describe these two processes and how they are related.
